We started doing maple syrup about 15 years ago with a barrel evaporator that that we purchased from Bassett Maple Co. It was a very well built evaporator, So last February when it was time to upgrade we bought the 2x3 evaporator from Bassett Maple Co. WOW! What a difference! The evaporator has high temperature insulation inside which makes it so much more efficient. The boil time and wood consumption was cut by a third, and with the powder coat finish we will get many more years of service.
Great customer service and communication. Evaporator worked really well for my small volume
very good customer service. Evaporator worked great, we boiled enough for our families 3 gallons.
I very much enjoyed the process of maple syrup this year. I have 10 years into using propane and using wood was wonderful this year. I highly recommend it.
From beginning to end, Charlie made the process extremely easy. He was attentive to my questions. Although there was minor damage due to shipping, the evaporator worked perfectly this season in our Vermont Ecology class. What better way to teach about chemistry, math and the history of our state than providing a hands on experience. THANK YOU!
